W2510A: Birgitta Macleod - Fun & Fabulous Florals
Paint a bright and fresh fall bouquet in just half a day. Learn how to use generous brush strokes to create a fun and fabulous floral painting using acrylics. We'll be working from actual bouquets and not photographs, but you'll be able to make colour and composition choices so that your finished painting is a personal expression of your love of flowers. This workshop is ideally suited for acrylics because they dry quickly and you can easily achieve texture where desired.
Date: Friday October 3rd, 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Instructor: Birgitta Mcleod
Course Fee for non-members: $57.50

Please underpaint your canvas before class. You can use any colour you like, whatever strikes your fancy -- there's no right or wrong choice.
Materials:
- Paints
- Bring the acrylics you normally like to use.
- At the very least you will need your favourite primaries (yellow, red, blue) and white.
- I also recommend burnt umber or burnt sienna; black or Payne's grey; magenta; yellow oxide.
- If you have a green such as hookers green and/or green-gold, bring that too.
- I will have a supply of paints to fill in any gaps you might have.
- 1 Canvas, size 16 x 20 or 14 by 18 or 16 x 16 or 18 x 18 inches is good for a half-day class.
- A mix of flat/bright & filbert brushes, size range from 4 to 12.
- A round brush for adding details.
- 1 palette knife (I think metal is better than plastic)
- 1 pad of disposable palette, or foam plates
- A rag or roll of disposable blue shop cloths
- Water container
- Apron
