The Less Defined Landscape is an in-person workshop, best suited for experienced beginner to intermediate and advanced painters. We will have fun playing with layers, textures, edges and colour with some less traditional tools. Less is more. — You’ll learn how to edit and interpret reference images. To be less literal and use more imagination. Subject matter includes landscape elements such as sky, water, rocks and trees. Images are provided by the instructor, but personal reference may be an option subject to instructor approval. Sam will encourage you by demonstrating helpful painting principles and inspiring techniques that will evoke an emotional response. Sam will be doing his demos in acrylic or oil, however, the workshop is open to artists working in watercolor as well. NOTE: Please remember to bring your lunch! Constructive criticism, encouragement and puns are also included.
