Research a little on Richard Diebenkorn and his work. For example, see https://diebenkorn.org/, https://www.artsy.net/artist/richard-diebenkorn and/or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Diebenkorn. Look for examples of his work that speak to you, and bring printout images — 1 or 2 if possible so we can discuss them one on one. MATERIAL LIST: Start a box a couple of weeks before the workshop, toss in anything that appeals to you that you may want to have on hand or in the car. Always better to be over prepared or willing to share. Save receipts for anything you purchase so you can return it if not used. Your choice of acrylic paint, minimum 3 supports any size, but why not be ambitious? (Canvas, panel, paper, Mylar... etc. Up to you.) Some drawing implements, ( pencil, charcoal, conte, acrylic markers...etc.) Mixed media choices for collage(optional) Heavy body acrylic gel for adhesive, or glue sticks.
A registrant may withdraw from a course 7 days or more before it begins and receive a full refund minus a 20% administration charge. There are no refunds for withdrawals within 7 days of a course commencing. If a course is cancelled by Studio 201 before it begins, fees will be refunded in full. If a course session is cancelled once the course has begun and cannot be rescheduled, a pro-rated refund will be provided. Any participant who is unable to attend a rescheduled session will receive a pro-rated refund for that session.
